Believe it or not, the NFL Draft is only 2 months away! Draft prep is well underway, and for most teams, began several weeks ago. The most common ways to bet on the Draft is betting on who will get selected first overall, who gets selected first by position, and how many players from the top schools get selected in the 1st round. Having said that, there’s plenty of other potential ways to bet on the Draft. Depending on the state you live in, you can bet on a player to go Over or Under a given spot in the draft.
One of the golden rules of the Draft is that QBs tend to go higher than they should. Every team is looking for the next hot QB prospect, who can turn into a Patrick Mahomes or Justin Herbert, and turn the entire franchise around. This is why Bryce Young and CJ Stroud are the two most likely selection to be the #1 Overall Pick. Another thing to consider when doing your Draft analysis is who had good Pro Days and who didn’t. There’s plenty of stories about guys having captivating Pro Days, and therefore getting selected higher than they would’ve otherwise (looking at you, Zach Wilson.)
However, the most important thing to remember is that you don’t have to make any bets on the Draft. There’s always other things to bet on, where more information is readily available. Don’t feel the need to make any bets just because it’ll be on TV, and all your friends will be talking about it.
