The Capitals were the best and most consistent team in the Eastern Conference throughout the regular season. The Capitals are led by a DOMINANT, as they were outscored only by the Tampa Bay Lightning this season. That’s BAD NEWS for Canadiens goalie Sam Montembeault, who didn’t fare well in his only game against the Capitals, giving up 4 goals. However, the key to this game just might be Capitals goalie Logan Thompson. There’s no doubt the Capitals will come out FIRED UP in Game 1 at Capital One Arena. The Capitals will score tonight. If Thompson can keep a quality Canadiens offense at bay, led by Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki, the Capitals SHOULD get their series with the Canadiens off to a good start!
