The Lakers come into this game against the Timberwolves in a MUST-WIN SITUATION! They got absolutely demolished in Game 1, losing 117-95! If they lose tonight, they’re down 0-2 heading back to Minnesota. Expect LeBron James and Luka Doncic to go ALL OUT and play more minutes than usual to try and get the win to even up this series. Both of the games that Luka Doncic has played against the Timberwolves, a regular season game in late February, and Game 1, have gone Over this Total. Simply put, the Lakers are NOT winning this game if their offensive output doesn’t SIGNIFICANTLY improve! However, as we saw in Game 1, the Timberwolves have A TON of offensive firepower. Anthony Edwards is one of the best young superstars in the game and can score from anywhere. Jaden McDaniels went for 25 points in Game 1, Naz Reid hit 6 3-pointers, and Julius Randle is always a capable scorer when he steps onto the floor. Rudy Gobert can’t be worse in Game 2 either, considering he only had 2 points (on 2 shots). If the Lakers can get contributions from their role players like Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura, we just might see more scoring than you would otherwise expect in this game!
