The Giants come into this game having lost 3 straight games and 6 of their last 10 games overall. They had a day off yesterday though and should be fresh and ready to go against an inferior opponent. The Marlins have the 3rd WORST record in the National League. They just don’t score a lot of runs. They are averaging just 3.9 runs per game over their last 20! That’s BAD NEWS for Marlins starter Cal Quantrill. Quantrill has gotten TORCHED this year, coming into this start with a 6.09 ERA and 1.49 WHIP. There’s MORE BAD NEWS when you combine this with the Marlins bullpen being one of the WORST in baseball. Miami has a 4.80 ERA and 1.47 WHIP. These are both bottom 10 in the league. The Giants have a solid lineup and statistically one of the best bullpens in baseball. Southpaw Kyle Harrison is the key tonight. Harrison has been stretched out and SHOULD be back to his normal workload. If he can keep a weak Marlins lineup in check, the Giants SHOULD get back on track with a win!
