The Giants are coming off a heartbreaking loss to the Rockies while the Dodgers had the day off yesterday. It’s a battle of aces tonight as Logan Webb takes on Yoshinobu Yamamoto. Yamamoto has been excellent all season long and is coming off 6 scoreless innings in his last start. Logan Webb is an excellent starter but has struggled against the Dodgers in his career. He also struggled against them in 2024, pitching to a 4.57 ERA in 4 starts. The Dodgers have a much deeper lineup and have a HUGE advantage with their day off yesterday. Freddie Freeman, Shohei Ohtani, and Mookie Betts have formed one of the best top of the lineups in baseball. The Giants just don’t have the offensive horses to keep up. If Yamamoto can keep his hot streak going, the Dodgers SHOULD get the win over their division rivals!
