Memorial Day is the unofficial start to summer, and what does summer mean? Break out the BBQs. The first thing I like to BBQ is Kabobs, most people go for hamburgers or hotdogs first. I love that kabobs are so versatile, you can add any meat, vegetable, and marinade and throw them on the grill and enjoy.
For this recipe I am did steak and shrimp for a little surf and turf. The shrimp is seasoned with Cajun seasoning and the steak with firecracker Asian marinade.
Ingredients:
Shrimp-
- 20 shrimp
- Cajun seasoning
- Wood skewers
Steak-
- 1lb steak cubed
- Firecracker marinade
- Wood skewers
Instructions:
- Prepare steak
- Marinade steak in firecracker marinade for at least 4 hours
- Put cubes on wood skewers
- Prepare Shrimp
- Put shrimp on skewers
- Coat with Cajun seasoning
- Grill steak for 5 minutes on each side
- Grill shrimp for 3 minutes on each side
- Tip – Grill the steak first and let rest while you grill your shrimp
- Serve with your favorite sides for a BBQ and enjoy!
