PLAY OF THE DAY!
The Bucks have been WILDLY disappointing to start the season at 5-9, but they have a really good chance to get back in the win column tonight. The Chicago Bulls are not a good team, and they give up points in DROVES on the road. They are surrendering a WHOPPING 122 points per game in opposing stadiums! The Bucks will be looking to get some revenge after losing to the Bulls earlier this year. However, the Bucks have won 3 of their last 4 games and have played in just one game since the 16th. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard, and Brook Lopez form a DOMINANT trio that has been playing better of late. Offense won’t be an issue tonight. The key will be whether or not Milwaukee brings their defense to the game tonight. Zach LaVine, Coby White, and Nikola Vucevic will be the biggest threats to the Bucks tonight. However, if the Bucks can ensure LaVine doesn’t beat them, the Bucks SHOULD get it done tonight in front of the home crowd!
After a slow start to the year, the Knicks have won 3 straight games and are FINALLY putting it together. They are coming off a DOMINANT 28-point SHELLACKING at home in which they dropped 134 points against the Wizards! The Suns, meanwhile, are trending in the OTHER direction. They have lost 4 straight games and 3 of them by double digits! They have also scored 104 or less points in 3 of their last 4 games, struggling mightily without superstar Kevin Durant. Both teams are playing their 3rd game in 4 nights, which favors the Knicks, who are the better defensive team. Bradley Beal is also out for the Suns tonight, and the Suns may even be without Jusuf Nurkic as well! This is a BANGED-UP Suns team. The Knicks are the healthier team, playing with more confidence, and have the better coach! Look for Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Mikal Bridges to continue leading the way for the Knicks tonight.
The Warriors have been playing good basketball lately, winning 3 of their last 4 games and scoring 120 or more points in 3 of those games as well. They also have played just two games since November 12th, so this veteran-laden team SHOULD be well rested heading into tonight’s game! This is a BAD spot for the Hawks tonight. They are playing their 3rd game in 4 nights and their 4th game since the 15th. The Warriors have the homecourt edge AND significantly more rest? The Warriors just have too many weapons for the Hawks to cover. The Hawks are giving up an AVERAGE of just under 120 points per game! That’s bad news facing the likes of Stephen Curry, Andrew Wiggins, and Draymond Green. If the Warriors ensure Trae Young doesn’t wreck this game, the Warriors should get the DUB at home!
