Xam’s Daily Gem:
76ers Money Line -135
The 76ers are one of the best teams in the league, and they’re coming off a complete dismantling of the Lakers, in a dominant 44-point win. Tyrese Maxey has stepped up big time alongside superstar Joel Embiid, and the 76ers have several quality role players as well. There’s a reason the 76ers are on the short list of teams legitimately expected to compete for a championship, after all. The Pelicans, on the other hand, have been up and down to start the season. The Pelicans haven’t been great defensively this year, and Philadelphia ranks as one of the best teams defensively speaking. The 76ers are in the top 5 in points per game, clocking in at over 120 points per game. The Pelicans don’t have the defensive players to keep up with Philly offensively, so New Orleans will have to keep it close by scoring a lot. New Orleans doesn’t have a bad offense, but Philly’s defense should be able to limit guys like McCollum, Ingram, and Zion Williamson.
