The Commanders come into this matchup reeling after three straight losses, two of which were divisional heartbreakers. Now sitting at 7-5, they find themselves in a MUST-WIN scenario. Facing a Titans squad that’s just 3-8 on the season but fresh off an impressive road victory over the Texans, Washington NEEDS to right the ship to stay in the playoff hunt.
The key to this game lies in Washington’s ability to establish the run early. Expect Brian Robinson Jr. to be a WORKHORSE, pounding the football against a defense that struggles in the trenches. Meanwhile, Jayden Daniels has been stellar, and his playmaking ability should expose Tennessee’s vulnerable secondary.
Defensively, Washington has been a letdown, surrendering 26+ points in every game during their skid. However, a matchup against Will Levis at home SHOULD provide the spark this team needs. Expect head coach Dan Quinn to have his defense flying around, making plays, and shutting down Tennessee’s offense to secure the W.
Meanwhile, the Buccaneers are in a favorable spot to handle a struggling opponent. With Baker Mayfield managing the offense and the team healthier on defense (and Mike Evans back and healthy), Tampa Bay has the pieces to get the job done. This is still the lowly Panthers we’re talking about, one of the WORST teams in football! The Bucs have their eyes set on a playoff run, and in order to make noise in the NFC, they’ll need to get the job done against an inferior opponent.
