The Big12 Championship Game kicks off today with Oklahoma State taking on Texas. It’s all on the line for Texas today. They come in as the 7th ranked team in the country, and still have a shot at making the CFB Playoff. Of course, Oklahoma State would love nothing more than to end Texas’s hopes and dreams in that regard. Texas QB Quinn Ewers has played at a high level this year. He has a completion percentage of 665% or more in each of his last 5 games and finished each of the last 5 games with a QB rating of 133 or more in each of hid last 5 games. He has several elite weapons to throw to and Oklahoma State shouldn’t provide much resistance in that regard. However, Ewers can be a gunslinger. He has 4 interceptions in his last 5 games, and has thrown an interception in 2 of his 3 games since returning from an AC joint sprain injury. For Oklahoma State to have a chance, they’ll need Ollie Gordon to have a big day running the ball. Keeping Ewers on the sidelines will be Oklahoma State’s best defense today, but eventually Alan Bowman will have to put the ball in the air.
