Orioles Money Line -166 FanDuel
The Orioles come into play as one of the hottest teams in the league right now. Despite losing yesterday, they won their series over the weekend and are 7-3 in their last 10 games. They’ve been doing so with a great lineup, as they have scored the 3rd most runs in the American League. They’re averaging over 5 runs per game on the year and can explode at home any time! Now, they send their newly acquired ace Corbin Burnes to the mound in the 1st game of their divisional series with the Blue Jays. Burnes has been fantastic since joining the Orioles, coming into this start with a 2.83 ERA which is down to 2.51 at home this year. He’s had back-to-back quality starts at home and has given up more than 2 runs in just 1 of his 5 home starts! The Blue Jays counter with Jose Berrios, who’s also off to a solid start this season. He has a 2.85 ERA on the year but that balloons to a 4.39 ERA on the road. Overall, he’s been ineffective throughout his Blue Jays career on the road. He has a 4.84 road ERA since joining the team. This is a BAD matchup for the Blue Jays that the Orioles SHOULD be able to exploit! The Blue Jays aren’t scoring many runs, as evidenced by their 3.67 runs per game. They’ve scored 187 runs on the year, which is the 2nd fewest in the American League! They’re just not playing with much confidence right now, and are 9-13 on the road coming into tonight. The Orioles will ALSO have a FULLY rested bullpen, which is one of the best in the American League. The Orioles have the momentum, better pitcher on the mound, and are playing at home. If Burnes can continue his early season success, the Orioles shouldn’t have ANY issues getting the job done in the first game of this division series!
