The Yankees come into tonight’s game against the Royals in a bit of a skid. They lost 2 straight games to the Red Sox and are just 5-5 in their last 10 games. However, they’re coming off an off day and are in a GREAT position tonight. Ace Max Fried takes the hill. He’s been nothing short of FANTASTIC for the Yankees this season. 1.78 ERA, 0.94 WHIP, and just a .226 batting average against on the road. That’s BAD NEWS for a Royals team that’s struggled to score runs at times this season. They have scored just 69 runs over their last 20 games and have scored the second FEWEST runs in the American League! Rookie southpaw Noah Cameron has been great this season, but the Yankees have scored the third MOST runs in baseball. The Yankees also come into this game with a rested bullpen, so their premium bullpen arms SHOULD be ready to go behind Fried tonight. The Yankees boast too many guys who can do damage, and the Royals just don’t have the horses to win this game.
