Patriots/Jets Over 38.5 Points -110 BetMGM 1 Unit
PLAY OF THE DAY!
An AFC East rivalry kicks off Week 3 of the NFL as the Patriots travel to MetLife Stadium for the Jets home opener. The Patriots were expected to be bad this year, but they’ve been very competitive through 2 weeks. Last week, facing a tough Seahawks defense, the Patriots tallied over 300 yards of offense and 20 points. They also have a SOLID run game, led by Rhamondre Stevenson. The Patriots ran for 185 yards last week! The Jets have been GASHED by the run this year and they’re missing players defensively. One of their best pass rushers, Jermaine Johnson, is out for the year, and they’re dealing with injuries to CJ Mosley and DJ Reed as well. Despite the loss last week, the Titans found success against the Jets defense and with all the travel the Jets have done, the Patriots should as well. For the Jets, Aaron Rodgers will play his first home game since tearing his Achillies last year. The Jets finally got the offense going in the 2nd half last week, and that momentum SHOULD continue this week. If Geno Smith and the Seahawks can put up 358 total yards, 5.4 yards per play, and 23 points on the road, the Jets SHOULD have similar success this week. If Brissett and the Patriots can manufacture SOME points against a solid but susceptible Jets defense, Aaron Rodgers and the Jets SHOULD care for the rest!
