PLAY OF THE DAY!
Colorado got back on track with a win last week after getting rolled by Nebraska, pounding Colorado State 28-9. Shedeur Sanders had by far his best game of the year and really showed his unique ability under center. It’s going to be a raucous crowd in Boulder tonight, and that’s bad news for a Baylor team dealing with QB issues. The Buffs have elite weapons on the outside that should test Baylor’s secondary. However, in a game that may feature sporadic rain and windy weather, the x-factor in this game may be Colorado’s defense. They were GREAT last week, and SHOULD be able to contain backup QB Sawyer Robertson in this one. Overall, Baylor has struggled offensively, and it’s fair to question how good Baylor’s defense is given the opponents they’ve played this year. Sanders SHOULD be able to generate some offense and they tallied over 100 rushing yards as well, led by Micah Welch. If the Buffs can keep Sanders upright, and that’s a BIG if after that Nebraska game, the Buffs will be fine offensively. If defensive coordinator Robert Livingston can continue coaching up the defense, the Buffs SHOULD get themselves to 3-1 on the year and keep their momentum going!
