The Yankees come into the American League Championship Series with more rest, the better team, and homefield advantage. The Guardians are coming off a slugfest of a 5-game series against the Tigers, and in the decisive Game 5, the Guardians essentially turned it into a bullpen game, getting 21 outs from their bullpen! They are going to come into this game EXHAUSTED! That’s bad news for tonight’s starter, Alex Cobb. He only lasted 3 innings in his 1st start against the Tigers this postseason, and now faces one of the best lineups in baseball. The Yankees have arguably the two BEST hitters in baseball in Aaron Judge and Juan Soto, and they have a very deep lineup overall. Giancarlo Stanton and Gleyber Torres both had a solid series against the Royals. However, the key to this Play is tonight’s starter for the Yankees, Carlos Rodon. He took the only loss for the Yankees against the Royals, and they need him to be A LOT better in this kind of series. The Yankees will have a FULLY rested bullpen, which didn’t give up a SINGLE run in the division series. If Rodon can bounce back, the Yankees will be in a GREAT SPOT to take a 1-0 series lead!

The battle for first place in the AFC East commences tonight as the Bills travel to MetLife Stadium to take on the Jets. It’s been a crazy week for the Jets, who fired their head coach Robert Saleh. However, despite a rocky start and losing 2 straight games, with a win tonight they will be in 1st place in the AFC East! The Jets have been plagued by slow starts all season long, and they simply NEED to get it going early to have a chance to win tonight. There’s no doubt the Jets have the weapons to score points. Breece Hall is arguably the best dual purpose running back in football, Garrett Wilson is a legitimate number 1 wide receiver, and they have nice secondary weapons as well. The Bills, obviously, have plenty of weapons as well. Josh Allen has long struggled against the Jets, but he’s been on point this season and he KNOWS how important this game is. James Cook and Khalil Shakir are both dealing with injuries for the Bills, but Allen and the offense will find a way to move the ball. Don’t be surprised if Allen or Rodgers has an unfortunate turnover in this game as well! Both quarterbacks are elite offensive talents who KNOW how to move the ball. Don’t be surprised to see a good ole fashioned slugfest with the top spot in the AFC East on the line!

The Red Wings have scored 3 goals in each of their first 2 games this season. If the Rangers can contain guys like Dylan Larkin, Alex DeBrincat, and Patrick Kane, the Rangers shouldn’t have ANY ISSUES scoring tonight. Artemi Panarin, Chris Kreider, Vincent Trocheck, and Mika Zibanejad are eager to put their OT loss behind them and get to 2-0-1 on the early season!
