Xam’s Daily Gems:
Patriots/Jaguars Over 42 Points -110 BetMGM 1 Unit
The Patriots and Jaguars end the NFL’s London Series this year. The Patriots FINALLY turned the reins over to rookie quarterback Drake Maye, and he wasn’t bad at all in his first start. Against a quality Texans defense, he threw for almost 250 yards and 3 touchdown passes. The Jaguars got decimated by the Bears last weekend and haven’t played solid defense for most of the year. The Patriots SHOULD have some success against them today. Just as importantly, the Patriots got SHREDDED defensively last week. They gave up 41 points to the Texans and they’ve been one of the WORST defensive units in football this season. They have given up 23 or more points in 4 of their last 5 games and 30 or more points in 2 of their last 3 games. The Jaguars have been WILDLY disappointing this season, but they have enough offense to make New England pay. Even with running back Travis Etienne missing this game, Trevor Lawrence has several weapons to go to. Christian Kirk, Gabe Davis, and Brian Thomas Jr. form a fine passing catching trio. If the Patriots can produce ANYTHING offensively, we SHOULD see a high scoring affair in the last London game of the year!
49ers Money Line -125 BetMGM 1 Unit
The 49ers come into this matchup not only looking for vengeance after losing to the Chiefs in last year’s Super Bowl, but they’re still trying to get their season on track. They certainly didn’t expect a 3-3 start through 6 games at the beginning of the season. They last played on Thursday Night Football back on October 10th. The Chiefs are coming off their bye week, so you know Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes will have some tricks up their sleeve for this game. However, the 49ers are just a better team. Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, and George Kittle form an elite pass catching trio for Brock Purdy. Running back Jordan Mason is also expected to make a return to the lineup after hurting his shoulder in their last game in Seattle. With Rashee Rice and Isiah Pacheco out for the Chiefs, they just don’t have the weapons San Francisco does. That’s BAD NEWS when facing the 49ers defense, one of the best units in the league. Expect the Chiefs to try and get rookie speedster Xavier Worthy the ball in space, but this game will ride on Kansas City’s defense. If the 49ers can avoid turning the ball over and hit a couple of field goals (always an issue when you have multiple kicking injuries to deal with), the 49ers SHOULD get some revenge for their Super Bowl loss and get to 4-3 on the season.
