Xam’s Daily Gems:

Raiders/Chiefs Over 40.5 Points -105

Patrick Mahomes has made a career of feasting off the Raiders. In 11 career games against the Raiders, he has 29 TDs and just 3 interceptions. He’s also completing nearly 67% of his passes and averages 300 yards per game against them. Last time these two teams played, the Chiefs won 31-17. The question in this game, however, is what the Raiders do offensively. They’ve been hot and cold since Aidan O’Connell has taken over. He has performed admirably at times this season, including in the game against the Chiefs. The Chiefs will clinch the division with a win today, so they’ll be motivated to score early and often. We need the Raiders to keep it competitive. If they do, and can put some points on the board, Mahomes and the Chiefs should do the rest.

Giants/Eagles Over 42.5 Points -110

The Eagles have lost 3 straight games and face a situation where they just can’t lose today. Losing at home to Tommy DeVito would be nothing short of a disaster. Expect the Eagles to be locked in offensively from the start. The Giants have improved defensively as the season has gone on, but they have holes that the Eagles should be able to exploit. The Giants have given up 46 points to Jordan Love and Derek Carr the last two weeks, which means the Eagles should be able to do similar things offensively. Once again, it comes down to whether or not the underdog can keep this game interesting. The Eagles don’t have the same defense as they did last year. The Giants have some talent offensively and if they can put even up a little bit against an iffy secondary, the Eagles offense should be able to carry the bulk of the load today.

Celtics Money Line -166

The Celtics are playing like a true championship team. They have elite offensive weapons in Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Kristaps Porzingis. They also still play the same quality defense they’ve become known for over the last few years. The Lakers haven’t been the same team since the In-Season Tournament. They’re an older team and still heavily dependent on LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Since the end of the IST, the Lakers have given up 114 or more points in all 7 games they’ve played. They’ve given up 118 or more points in 6 of those games. The Celtics Big 3 shouldn’t have any issues scoring in bunches today. The Celtics just need to play some defense and not let LeBron and AD beat them.
