Xam’s Daily Gem:
Grizzlies -1 -110
The Grizzlies have been a different team since superstar Ja Morant returned to the lineup. The team has a different energy and swag to them. The Raptors just traded star OG Anunoby and recently lost to the Detroit Pistons, who had the longest single season losing streak in history. The Raptors are also terrible on the road this year, with just a 4-11 record. The Grizzlies don’t always play great defense, but neither does Toronto. In the last 12 games, Toronto has given up 119 or more points in 9 of those games. Detroit has the swagger and has their leader back. Toronto seems leaderless at this point, and with the trade of Anunoby seems like they’re looking towards the future. Memphis turned out to be one of the top teams in the West during the regular season last year, and Desmond Bane, Marcus Smart, and Jaren Jackson Jr. are capable role players. Despite their poor record, Memphis’s defense has been better than expected. They’re giving up on average just 113 points per game.
