The Nets are playing the second night of a back-to-back, and they’ve been awful on the road this year. They’re 10-23 away from home and are giving up over 116 points per game on the road this season. The Spurs have had a miserable season this year, but they do have some young talent they’re developing, obviously led by the odds-on favorite for Rookie of The Year, Victor Wembanyama. The biggest issue for the Spurs this year has been their defense. They’re giving up about 120 points per game this season. However, they’ve been better recently. In their last 10 games, they’re giving up 115 points per game. Like with most games the Spurs play, this one will come down to their defensive effort and intensity. The Spurs have a big rest edge in this one. They’ve played one game since the 12th. The Nets played yesterday and the 13th, and they’ve been traveling on the road more recently. The Spurs also have a significant coaching edge in this one. If the Spurs can contain Cam Thomas, Mikal Bridges, and Dennis Schroder, the young offensive weapons for the Spurs should be able to do damage against a bad and tired defense. Wemby, Devin Vassell, Jeremy Sochan, and Keldon Johnson should be able to produce tonight and get the job done for the home crowd tonight.
