Xam’s Daily Gems:
Dodgers -1 -178 DraftKings (Game 1)
Dodgers ace Tyler Glasnow takes the hill in Game 1 of the doubleheader at Citi Field. Glasnow has been nothing short of awesome since the Dodgers acquired him in the offseason, pitching to a 3.09 ERA. Incredibly, his worst outings have come at home. On the road, he’s pitched to a sparkling 1.44 ERA. Tylor Megill goes for the Mets, who’s making just his 3rd start of the year after being on the IL with a shoulder strain. The Dodgers have one of the best lineups in baseball and SHOULD be able to put some runs on the board. With the day off yesterday, they’ll ALSO have their full complement of relievers available as needed.
Timberwolves/Magic Over 210.5 Points -110 FanDuel
All three of the games between these teams have gone Over in this series, which is why bookmakers have FINALLY tried adjusting and moving it up. In Game 3, these teams put up a Total of 223 points, led by 116 from the Mavericks. In an elimination game, all of Minnesota’s stars will play as many minutes as they can handle. Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns simply HAVE TO be better offensively if they want to win. Towns in particular wasn’t much of a factor in Game 3. For the Mavericks, they just have to keep doing what they’re doing. Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving lead an explosive offensive attack, and they RARELY get slowed down at home. If Minnesota can contribute on the offensive end, we SHOULD see Game 4 go over the Total like every other game of this series has!
Yankees/Angels Over 8.5 Runs -127 DraftKings
Both pitchers in this game have struggled this season. Nestor Cortes has an ugly 6.75 road ERA in 5 games and Angels starter Griffin Canning comes into tonight with a 5.05 ERA! The Yankees have been one of the hottest hitting teams in the game recently, putting up 50 runs in their last 10 games. The Angels have been hit-or-miss offensively, but they have 49 runs scored in their last 10 games. If the Angels can contribute ANYTHING at the plate, the Bronx Bombers SHOULD care for the rest!
White Sox Team Total Over 2.5 Runs -145 DraftKings
The White Sox have scored 3 or more runs in 3 of their last 5 games and 6 of their last 10. They’re averaging over 3 runs per game at home this season. Blue Jays starter Kevin Gausman has struggled this season, to the tune of a 4.47 ERA. He’s given up 3 earned runs or more in 2 of his last 3 starts and 5 of his last 9! The White Sox may not be known for being an elite offensive team, but this line is asking Gausman and the bullpen to be near perfect on the road. Simply put, that’s a tough ask.
