Xam’s Daily Gems:

Nationals First 5 Innings Money Line -155 BetMGM

The Nationals are going for the home sweep and are sending their young southpaw to the mound. MacKenzie Gore has struggled recently, but the Angels are a weak hitting team that he SHOULD be able to bounce back against. They’re averaging less than 4 runs per game over their last 10 games, and it’s well documented how they have struggled offensively without Mike Trout in the lineup. That’s bad news for LA’s starter today, Jack Kochanowicz. In just 2 starts this year, he’s given up a whopping 11 earned runs and 14 hits to two weak lineups! The Nationals have been hitting quite a bit recently, averaging 4.7 runs per game over their last 20 games. The Nationals may not have a great record but they’ve been playing hard everyday for manager Davey Martinez. The Angels just don’t have a lot of confidence right now. The Nationals are at home and have the better starting pitcher on the mound. If Gore can get himself back on track, the Nationals SHOULD be able to hit and score some runs early in this game!

Blue Jays Money Line -155 BetMGM

The Blue Jays lost an embarrassing game to the Athletics yesterday, but they still have a really good chance to win the series today. Former A’s starter goes for the Blue Jays today, and he’s coming off a great start his last time out against the Orioles. He’s struggled overall in his last 7 starts, but this is about as good of a matchup as you can ask for. The Athletics have struggled scoring ALL SEASON LONG! They are averaging a woeful 3.61 runs per game away from home, a big reason as to why they are 20-39 on the road this season, which is the 2nd WORST road record in the American League! Southpaw JP Sears has pitched really well recently, but he still has a 4.43 ERA over his last 15 starts and PATHETIC 6.08 ERA in day games! The Athletics have scored just two runs in this series. If guys like George Springer and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. can get the lineup going, the Blue Jays SHOULD be able to do enough to get the win and take the series!
